CONSIDERATION OF HB 2200 – House Commerce Committee
Thursday, February 23
Friday, February 24
Room 346-S from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Let’s have a great turnout to show legislators that Kansas small businesses do care about this issue! Bring your families, employees, vendors, and friends. The Committee has new members this year, and some are predicting the bill could pass the committee level this year for the first time. The Committee will work the bill February 23-24. Contact the hotline to be connected to your legislators now – 1-866-519-2200. Be sure to write down the names of your representative and senator so you can schedule to meet with them when you are in Topeka. Write them. Talk to them. This will be an ongoing issue this session - it is not enough to simply leave a message one time.
All attendees should schedule an appointment to meet with their legislators to make the most of their trip. You need to call them now to get on their appointment schedule - do not wait. Let us know what you learn.
We know from experience that one-on-one conversations of liquor store owners and their legislators are the most effective way to continue to defeat these bad bills. Call the Hotline 1-866-519-2200.
