Friday, February 13 Hearing (neutral)
Room 346-S from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Let’s have a great turnout to show legislators that Kansas small businesses do care about this issue! Bring your families, employees, vendors, and friends. The Committee has new members this year, and some are predicting the bill could pass the committee level this year for the first time. The Committee will work the bill February 18. Contact the hotline to be connected to your legislators now – 1-866-519-2200. Be sure to write down the names of your representative and senator so you can schedule to meet with them when you are in Topeka. Write them. Talk to them. This will be an ongoing issue this session - it is not enough to simply leave a message one time.
BE THERE! RSVP for the Legislative Lunch and Hearing.
KABR will host a luncheon Thursday, February 12 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Statehouse on the 3rd floor south wing to be followed by the hearing at 1:00 p.m. in Room 346-S. Luncheon sponsored by KABR, Keep Kansans in Business and Kansas Association for Responsible Liquor Laws.
All attendees should schedule an appointment to meet with their legislators to make the most of their trip. You need to call them now to get on their appointment schedule - do not wait. Let us know what you learn.
We know from experience that one-on-one conversations of liquor store owners and their legislators are the most effective way to continue to defeat these bad bills. Call the Hotline 1-866-519-2200.
